Prior to joining ShoreVest, Ms. Shanjuan Jiang was a SVP and Head of Franklin Templeton’s China alternative business, and was responsible for managing investment opportunities and expanding the firm’s global investment offerings and client reach in China. She also supported expanding Asia Pacific ESG and sustainable investing efforts in Mainland China.

Ms. Jiang has worked in the private equity business since 2008. She joined CICC-Qianhai in 2015 and served as the Managing Director of their Development Fund in China. Before CICC-Qianhai, she was an Investment Officer at the Private Equity Group in California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS).

Prior to her career in Finance, she worked as a Senior R&D engineer in the semiconductor industry and specialized in MEMS Sensing Technology. She oversaw research and development of MEMS pressure sensors and accelerometers for General Electric.

Ms. Jiang currently holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA and an MBA from UC Davis. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Physics from Tsinghua University.
